Money that stops running the show
Regular, confidential coaching for people who want a plan that survives a real month: through debt, through a thin week, and through whatever is coming next.
Structured conversation about your money, with someone in your corner
Financial wellbeing coaching is a series of one-to-one sessions with one purpose: getting you on top of your money and keeping you there. It is not a lecture and not a sales meeting. Nothing is sold to you here, because we have nothing to sell.
Almost everyone arrives describing the same feeling: that money is happening to them rather than the other way round. The arithmetic is rarely the hard part. The hard part is building something that survives contact with a real week, and having someone alongside you while it beds in.
- You earn perfectly well and still cannot say where it goes
- Debts sit in four places and none of it has an order
- You have never had savings that stayed saved
- Something big is coming: a move, a baby, a break, retirement
- Money conversations at home turn into arguments
- You are rebuilding after a divorce or a redundancy
What we actually work on
Not all of it, and rarely in this order. We start with whatever is keeping you awake.
A budget that survives a real month
Not a spreadsheet fantasy with no line for birthdays or a car repair. Plans without slack get abandoned by week three.
Where the money actually goes
Ninety days of statements, categorised honestly. Almost everybody finds something they had forgotten they were paying for.
Debt, tackled in a sensible order
Every balance, rate and minimum in one place, then a clear order of attack. Where a free debt charity is the better route, we say so.
A buffer, before anything else
A small cushion first, then a real one. Where to keep it so it is not too easy to reach, and how to rebuild it.
Habits, and the avoidance underneath
Why the app stays unopened. Money behaviour is rarely about willpower. Usually it is about what looking has cost you before.
Getting ready for what is coming
A move, a baby, a career break, redundancy, retirement. We run the numbers before the decision rather than after it.
Your payslip, pension and benefits
What your tax code means, what leaves before you see it, how much your employer adds to your pension, and what sits unclaimed in your benefits.
What a programme looks like
Plans change in a fortnight; habits take longer. This is the shape most people follow, and it flexes around your life.
The free conversation
Thirty minutes. You describe what is going on; we say honestly whether coaching helps, or whether something else would help more.
The honest picture
A longer first session. Income, outgoings, debts, the letters you have not opened. Bring it untidy. Sorting it out is the work.
The plan, on one page
In your words, with the priorities in your order. Short enough to read on a phone, specific enough to start on Monday.
The first eight weeks
Fortnightly, while the new pattern is fragile. This is where a budget meets a birthday and a bad week, and gets adjusted rather than abandoned.
Months three to six
Sessions space out as things hold. The buffer gets built, debts hit real milestones, and we rehearse what is coming before it arrives.
Finishing properly
You leave with the plan, the habits and the reasoning behind both, so you can redo it yourself when life looks different.
What this deliberately does not include
These are not gaps we are working to close. They are the boundary that keeps the coaching honest.
No product recommendations
We will never tell you which pension, fund, ISA, mortgage or insurer to choose.
No pressure to decide
You leave a session with clearer options, not with something you have already been signed up to.
Nothing arranged for you
We do not open accounts, move money or speak to your creditors on your behalf. Your decisions stay yours.
One source of income
The coaching fee agreed up front. Nobody else pays us to point you anywhere.
Coaching and guidance only. Important information.
The other two services
Most people end up touching more than one.
Things people ask before they get in touch
Is this the same as debt help?
Not quite. We work on debt with a great many people, and that works when you can cover your essentials. If you cannot cover rent, mortgage, council tax or energy, a free debt charity is better placed than a coach, and can negotiate with creditors in ways we do not. We will say so in the first conversation and point you to the right organisation. Several are listed on our important information page.
Do I have to be in trouble for this to be worth it?
No, and it is often more productive when you are not. Plenty of people come to us earning well and quietly aware their money is drifting. Coaching is at its best as prevention rather than rescue.
What do I need to have ready for the first session?
Three months of statements, a recent payslip, and whatever you can find on your debts. If some of it is missing, come anyway. Finding it is part of the session, not a test to pass beforehand.
Can you tell me which pension or savings account to choose?
No, choosing a specific product is not what coaching does. What we do is help you understand how your pension works, what your contributions and your employer’s add up to, and what to ask if you decide you need a specialist.
How long before anything actually changes?
The plan exists within two or three sessions. Feeling on top of it usually arrives in month two, once a full month has run through the new pattern. Most programmes run three to six months, and nobody is locked in.
Start with the honest conversation
Thirty minutes, free, and nothing to sign. Bring the bit you have been avoiding. We have heard it before.
